She hid her passion, held back her talent, and tried to stay quiet.

But when she finally let herself play again, she paid for it.

That soul memory? It may be one of the reasons she’s been stuck in business today.

A woman came to me for a Past-Life regression because she felt stuck in her business.

She’d been doing the work, showing up, but the clients weren’t coming, and she started doubting herself and even her chosen modality.

“Is it me, is it the modality that isn’t working or is it something else?”

We decided to explore what might be sitting underneath, and a past life story revealed itself.

She found herself in a tiny, dark apartment. She was alone, playing the piano with intensity and passion. When her husband arrived home, he stood frozen in the doorway before collapsing in a heap on the floor as she continued to play.

At first, the scene was strange. Why did he faint? And why didn’t she stop playing?

As we slowed it down and allowed the scene to reveal more, she realised her husband didn’t know she could play. And she was in trouble. Big trouble.

This was a time when a regime ruled. Citizens were watched. Certain acts were forbidden. And a neighbour had overheard the music and alerted both her husband and the authorities.

This image represents a moment recalled in a client’s past-life regression and is shared with care and respect for the context she described

He collapsed from shock and fear because he knew what this meant. There were consequences. Grave ones.

What followed was deeply distressing. She was led out by the authorities. A bag was placed over her head. Her fingers were removed. Her ability to play, her passion, her joy, her life’s work, was stripped from her.

We travelled further back in that lifetime, to where it all began.

She’d grown up in that same apartment in China, a devoted pianist from childhood. Her dream was to become a concert pianist. Her parents were proud and supported her as she trained every day with discipline and heart.

Then the regime came into power. Her parents were gone, taken or passed, and Western classical music was banned. She had to stop playing. The pain of silencing herself was unbearable.

She later met her husband and told him the piano belonged to her mother. That way, he wouldn’t ask to hear her play. And she figured, if he didn’t know, she wouldn’t be tempted.

But the connection was too strong.

After years of silence, she could no longer contain it. She began playing again during the day, when he was at work.

When we asked what would’ve needed to happen for her to keep playing and be safe, she said, “I would’ve needed to leave the country. Escape.”

But she felt tethered. Tied to that very piano. It was her soul. Her identity. And she believed if she left it behind, she would leave herself behind.

But she soon realised, even if she stayed, she couldn’t play. And if she did play, she’d risk her life.

So what would it be?

That’s when she realised the power, the fire, the music, wasn’t in the piano. It was in her.

She made the decision to leave the country with her husband. They fled to America and were taken in by her Aunt, who had immigrated many years earlier and knew of her niece’s talent.

When they arrived at her Aunt’s home, her Aunt was waiting beside a piano, one she had worked hard to save for her. Tears were streaming down the Aunt's face.

She was free to play again.

She practised. She performed. She eventually fulfilled her dream of becoming a concert pianist. She played for dignitaries, for full auditoriums, for heads of state.

But as she stood onstage, bowing after a grand performance, a wave of resentment hit her. The dignitaries celebrated her as proof of their country’s greatness.

“Look at what America did for this woman. Look what freedom gave her. We saved her.”

It left a bitter taste in her mouth. She thought, “Stupid Americans. They think they created me.”

And then, she paused and we explored…

What would actually bring her joy?

What she wanted, she realised, was to play for her people. The people who had suffered. Who had been silenced. Whose hearts still yearned to express.

She wanted to create connection. To offer beauty in the face of grief. To let music speak for the shared stories they could never tell.

And when she played for them, she felt whole.

What This Has to Do With Her Business Blocks

The regression revealed that her business challenges weren’t just about visibility or strategy. At the core was a deeper conflict,  that moment of punishment created a soul-level association between expression and danger. And the fear that doing the thing you were once passionate about could lead to harm, disapproval, or failure.

It created hesitation. A lack of trust in her own direction.

She wasn’t blocked because her work was ineffective. She was blocked because something in her system didn’t feel safe trusting it.

In that lifetime, it wasn’t the praise of foreign dignitaries or packed concert halls that brought her peace.

It was when she stopped performing to prove something, and started playing for the people who needed it most, the ones who had also been silenced.

The moment she let go of chasing recognition and turned toward connection, the joy returned. Her expression became purposeful again. It was no longer about being seen, but about reaching people.

That moment of clarity softened the self-doubt. Her nervous system began to settle. And her trust in her work, seemed to have been restored.

Healing Invitation and Business Reframe

Old Wound: “If I express what I do, I’ll be punished, judged, or misunderstood.”

Healing Realisation: This work matters. I don’t need to prove it. I trust that the right people will recognise its value.”

New Belief: “My power is in me. I am safe to be seen. My value doesn’t come from being widely recognised.
It comes from connecting with the people who are ready for what I offer.
I don’t need to convince everyone, I just need to show up clearly, with intention, and reach those who are open to it.”

This is what happens when you stop asking “What’s wrong with me?”
And start asking, “What memory am I carrying that’s ready to be released?”

Curious what past life patterns you might be holding?

If you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or out of alignment, and no strategy seems to work, it may not be mindset. It may be memory.

You don’t have to keep holding it.
It’s safe to return to yourself.
